As the 2024 Christmas season comes to an end and we pack away the last of the year’s displays and decorations it’s a great opportunity to reflect.
This year marked our largest and most successful Christmas campaign since our inception. Over the course of 2024, the Dec the Malls team put in thousands of hours across day and night, delivering more than 80 magical Christmas displays for our clients across Australia. We’d like to thank our clients for trusting us with creating their displays and bringing the wonder of Christmas to their venues and events.
More than 50 staff and contractors helped to manage, produce, install, maintain and dismantle this season’s projects. In a year where we also introduced major operational changes, including relocating our headquarters and main warehouse facility, we’re extremely grateful to all our staff members for their dedication, flexibility and professionalism.
To get an idea of what the 2024 season involved here are some fun facts about our projects:
- we created and installed captivating Santa sets at 18 different locations across Australia
- more than 200,000 baubles were used to create stunning trees, garlands and wreaths
- several kilometres of garlands were hung in shopping centres nationwide
- well over 100 sparkling Christmas trees, ranging from 1.2m – 6m tall, were installed
- 29 enchanting large scale light displays were provided
- over 1600 new sets of fairy lights were included in our decorations
- with over 430,000 people attending this year’s Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail in Perth, just one of the events we were involved in this year, it’s safe to say that well over a million people across Australia experienced the magic of our displays in 2024.
Christmas is a year-round commitment for us at Dec the Malls. As we carefully pack away the rest of 2024’s displays and decorations we’ve already started designing and quoting for Christmas 2025.
If you believe in the magic of Christmas, like we do, we invite you to contact us so we can start creating a captivating display or decoration suite for your audience this year.
