Raine Square consists of both retail malls and corporate offices with spacious foyer areas. Our brief was to deliver a suite of Christmas decorations that complemented the existing building décor and ensured a cohesive visual theme across the different spaces, while also incorporating a distinctly Australian theme.
To achieve these goals, in 2024 Dec the Malls designed bespoke decorations featuring Australian native flora tones and finishes, including warm golds and coppers with floral accents. We also introduced our exclusive Eucalyptus Blossom & Leaf Motif – the first design in our Australian Christmas Motif Collection.
In 2025, the styling theme was refreshed to further emphasise the Australian aesthetic. Brighter, more vibrant native flower bursts in reds and yellows were incorporated across garlands, trees, and table decorations, adding depth and vibrancy to the overall look while maintaining cohesion with the original palette.
Key design elements included:
- Shiny, luxe gold finishes incorporated in tree bases and garlands.
- Cohesive use of colours and finishes across all decorations to unify the festive theme.
- Refreshed native floral styling with brighter tones to evolve the look year-on-year.
The decorations and displays included:
Corporate Spaces:
Bank West Foyer:
- A floral display featuring native flora for the Concierge Desk;
- An entry display featuring two decorated and lit Christmas trees with gold bases and a stunning 2.1m Australian-themed Light Motif;
- The original Eucalyptus Blossom & Leaf Motif was replaced in the second year with the exclusive Eucalyptus Leaf & Double Gum Nut Light Motif, demonstrating the development of our Australian Christmas Motif Collection;
- An additional 2.1m decorated and lit Christmas tree with gold base and native flora clusters;
- Floral displays for tables on the second level.
Wentworth Foyer:
- A large, 3.6m decorated and lit Christmas tree with gold base and native flora cluster.
Retail Spaces:
- Fourteen origami garlands decorated in the same finishes and colour scheme as the corporate displays, enhanced in 2025 with brighter native floral accents;
- Originally, four straight garlands with the same finishes and colour scheme were installed in the railway station entrance to suit the low ceiling environment and extend the festive experience into this high-traffic zone. An additional two garlands were included in the second year.
The end result was a luxurious and evolving festive atmosphere that permeated both the corporate and retail spaces of Raine Square. Building on the original design, the 2025 enhancements introduced a refreshed vibrancy while maintaining a strong and consistent Australian identity.
The installations showcased Dec the Malls’ exclusive Australian Christmas Motif Collection – designed in-house to deliver a uniquely Australian take on Christmas while continuing to create a memorable and distinctive festive experience.
